Any suggestions? Hes always been fed to sleep on his side and transferred sideways into cot (after realising he wouldn't go down into a moses).

I can get him to sleep without feeding now (victory!!) By rocking/shushing But cant then get him into bed 🙈 so end up stood there with a hand grenade baby until i am brave enough to gently lean over and wah!! Its the same bed so he is happy in it - doesnt need it warmed or anything its just the bending down to get him in it - startle reflex thing??

He hates being swaddled too.

Perseverance?? Or is there a trick out there please??

Stupid question but can you raise the cot at all? Or lower yourself eg sit rather than stand by cot - have cot side down - so there isn’t the feeling of moving downwards?

Unfortunately theres no drop side. Haven't tried sitting next to it....thanks!

Hes in next to me cot atm but he will move to big cot soon and although we havent decided whether to attach it to our bed we need a solution so i dont have to lay with him else he wants the boob!!

Can you try patting and sshing in the cot rather than in your arms then you don't have to worry about him waking.

@April45 yeah i tried that but he got hysterical. I am in the process of doing some gentle sleep training (no cry) but anticipate this will take weeks....

It will, there's no quick fix but you will get there

I would just co sleep personally rather than all the effort!

I'd read up about gradual retreat...it is no magic solution and will take time, but was very effective with DD.

Well breaking news.....DS is sound asleep in his bed which i lowered him into. Smile its took some practice doing but essentially i rock him all the way down right onto the mattress then use my hand to push his bum back and forth like rocking to remove the trapped arm....ta da! Worked twice today anyway Smile tomorrow he will probably go mental 😂 and not one tear shed by him anyway thanks for all your suggestions xxx
