...at what age did you switch to a sleeping bag?
Still saddling our 4-week-old and wondering how long it will last...

We had grosnugs... They outgrew them around 10 weeks and popped them into grobags and they were fine with the transition.

We swaddled DS until 3 months (using Love To Dream arms up swaddles, which I think are brilliant). We only unswaddled him as he started trying to roll from his back to his front, otherwise I'd have kept him swaddled until at least 4 months. The startle reflex is a pain in the backside. We ended up transitioning him straight into a sleeping bag and he's been fine, but definitely would have preferred to swaddle longer.

Our twins were swaddled until about 10 weeks when we switch to baby sleeping bags.

We swaddled till 4 months, untill he started rolling. I just went cold turkey with it, look about 3 days for him to get used to it, he was a horrendous sleeper back then anyway. However, a friend of mine swaddled untill 6 months

One thing we did do when we swapped was put them into the growbag then the giant muslin folded in half across chest, down the outside of each arm and tucked under the mattress. They always worked free but had that slight snuggness they were used to.

5.5 months. I was so worried about the switch, but one night spilt milk on her swaddle so she had to go in a bag, and it was fine!

She stopped liking it at about 12 weeks and then we stopped. I was worried she'd never sleep once she stopped but she was grand. It happened v naturally.

About three months. She was able to get out of it and roll over. Went in a bag fine though. Was a godsend at the time.

4-5 months. She was able to roll by then but she would never roll in her swaddle (proper arms down, tight swaddling). She loved being swaddled and slept so well. We only moved on from swaddling because she was fighting to get her arms out, we took this as her way of communicating that she no longer wanted to be swaddled. Take your lead from your baby xx

Probably about 6 months. I tried DD a few times prior to that and it resulted in waking up after 1 sleep cycle so I left it a bit longer than I'd originally planned
