Sleep

Please tell me this is a phase!

I think the sleep deprivation is starting to get to me!

My DS2 is 8 months old and has already cut two teeth. He was a good sleeper until about a fortnight ago when he started to become very clingy, unsettled and waking up through the night.

He won't settle in his crib and I can't let him cry it out in case he wakes his big brother so I bring him in with me and he'll sleep the whole night next to me. If I try to put him back in his cot he'll wake again.

I can't sleep properly when he's next to me and I'm just wondering what else I can do to get him back to sleeping through again.

I've been giving him calpol, teething gel and teething powders (not all at once!) he's eating well( 3 meals a day) and has a full bottle of milk at 1800 and again at 2030.

Sorry if this is long but I'm at my wits end and I can't remember if my DS1 did this!

Why don't you bring the big cot into your room? You could take your drawers out of your bedroom to fit it in.

Then you can take one side off the cot and butt it up to your bed. He can then be cuddled to sleep, but in the cot.

Thanks for replying!

His cot is already in with me in my room. He just has such a loud cry he can wake his brother across the house! I'll try the side down though!
