Think son is getting too big for his sleepyhead and I'm loath the spend £200 on next size but he really seems to love it!! Any tips for "weaning" him off it?!

Sorry, no tips for weaning him off it but I felt my DS was getting to big for his and thought he loved it. But one night he just wouldn't settle and I took away the sleepyhead and we've never looked back! So perhaps hold out a little longer in case he goes off it too?

I've literally just done this. I did it 2 days ago. We went cold turkey. My son went from waking twice in the night to sleeping through on both nights. Long may it continue

We had no problems weaning DD off it and no one else I know has had problems either. Just take it away, it'll probably be easier than you think! And you can always give it back if it isn't

You've all been lucky! First night I took away the sleepyhead (last week) DD woke about every hour!! I think she's getting used to it now but her sleep has really gone downhill this last week. Although I'm not convinced it's entirely related to the sleepyhead - I think she's going through a 'leap' and she seems to be resisting sleep and naps atm . Last night she woke up several times until 3.30am then just would not settle. After an hour or so we gave up and put her in the sleepyhead in bed with us and she went off straight away Confused. We went cold turkey but now I wonder if we should have weaned her off it.

I was so worried about this but we took away the outgrown sleepyhead two nights ago and I'm not sure DS even noticed! If anything I think he prefers stretching out. Still a terrible sleeper though! Hmm

I lasted a month and a bit and then bought the bigger sleepy. DD went from sleeping well to a tota nightmare, first night in the big sleepy was bliss and she's still in it. No regrets.

I actually emailed sleepyhead, as ds2 is only 3.5 months but massive. 98th centile for weight and length. His feet are over the end.

They said most people think they are outgrown long before they are, unclipp the end. They also sent me pics of babies as old as 12 months in it!
