Last feed was at midnight it's now almost 5:30am and he hasn't woken up once for a feed, I know I should be relieved and have gotten some sleep but I don't know if this is normal for a 3 month old I'm a first time mum and it's all really new to me. Is it normal for him to sleep this long???

I'd say it's ok. Ds is 15 weeks - went down at 9pm and woke for a feed at 5am. He doesn't always do this, lately we've had three night feeds again.

Problem is it's hard to make the most of because I wake every time he stirs!

DoubleCarrick · 24/04/2017 05:24

He did sleep 11 hours the other night which had me worried!

FurryElephant · 24/04/2017 05:55

It's absolutely fine! As long as weight gain is normal and no one has told you you need to be waking him for feeds at certain intervals, let him sleep and don't worry Smile

StinkPickle · 24/04/2017 05:57

It'll change soon enough with the 4 month sleep regression Wink enjoy it while you can

EphraimWaite · 24/04/2017 16:15

Mine slept through from 11 weeks - 9(ish) till 7(ish). The first few terrified me! After that I just enjoyed it. Unless the HV has told you different for some reason, you can rely on them to wake you when they need a feed!

Consider it lucky. I was very lucky that from 5 weeks my DS only woke once a night for a change/feed, but that was with co-sleeping. If you're not co-sleeping, even luckier! Grin

Just enjoy it, and think yourself lucky! My dd slept through from about 3 months, she's now nearly 7 months and sleeping 11 or 12 hours at night. I know it could well change at some point so I'm counting myself lucky while it lasts, especially when I hear others who have babies who are up every couple of hours.

SillyBub · 24/04/2017 16:40

I had 2 good sleepers, both through the night (9 hours plus) from 11 weeks. My Dsis's 3 DC and me and my siblings were all going through long before 11 weeks (my DM and DSis sympathised with me for my poor sleepers Confused). No 4 month (or any other) sleep regression either. Some of us are lucky enough to have great sleepers. Embrace it!

Justmadeperfectflapjacks · 24/04/2017 16:42

Ds x 2 both slept through at 5 weeks old.
Enjoy. .
And no bragging at baby groups or they will hate you!!

EphraimWaite · 24/04/2017 17:02

Also never do anything that might jinx your good luck. We sailed over the 4 month mark but now, at 7.5 months...let's just say: enjoy it for as long as it lasts.

alltalknobaby · 24/04/2017 17:37

DD has been sleeping 7.30/8pm ish to 6am ish since 8 weeks. No dream feed. She is now almost 13 weeks and in the 91st percentile for weight and the 98th for length, so growing like a weed Grin Enjoy your sleep x

alltalknobaby · 24/04/2017 17:37

I was also worried by the way! Completely normal to worry. I checked with GP and HV and both said it's absolutely fine x

Lemonnaise · 24/04/2017 17:51

It's normal, my DD slept through from 3 months...I know how lucky I was.

Lemonnaise · 24/04/2017 17:54

Oh and it lasted. She's 6 now and I never had a sleepless night with her.

thethoughtfox · 24/04/2017 19:56

Totally normal. Mine slept from 7pm -8:15pm every night from 3 months.

Thanks so much ladies my only concern is that he isn't drinking through out the night, is this ok??

alltalknobaby · 25/04/2017 10:30

Mine doesn't and is gaining weight like a trooper. Has he been weighed recently?
