What do you put your babies in when they wiggle out of their sleeping bag and wouldn't stay under a blanket?!

NapQueen Mon 27-Mar-17 22:41:22

How do they get out of the sleeping bag? Surely the holes are only neck sized?

Popskipiekin Mon 27-Mar-17 22:41:33

How old is the baby? My DS is 2.5 and although he can undo his bag he doesn't until morning. I don't understand how yours is wiggling out smile is the bag too loose?

She wriggles and stands up so much she manages to unpop the poppers and then stands up out of it!

Tumtitum Mon 27-Mar-17 22:49:05

She's nearly 14 months. Just starting to walk

Get the zip ones smile

JohnLapsleyParlabane Mon 27-Mar-17 22:50:22

JojoMamanBebe do ones with zips and legs

Tumtitum Mon 27-Mar-17 22:50:45

It's a zip round the side or at the front but poppers at the shoulders, it's the shoulders she undoes and she's slim so she can just slip out then

Tumtitum Mon 27-Mar-17 22:51:03

Ooh legs could be a good idea, thanks

I'm thinking vest and then thick babygrow with feet etc, but no idea about thickness, don't want her to overheat confused

I just let her get on with it. Will try to cover her when I check on her before bed but she undoubtedly shrugs it off again. It doesn't seem to bother her and we ensure her room stays a reasonable temperature.

Grobags come in a couple of different styles and patterns, some have the poppers & zips, others just have a zip up the middle, instead of the side and the shoulders have no poppers, more like the shoulders of a waistcoat. Just have a look on for the zip up the middle ones.

Ikea ones are good for staying in. Zip up the front.

Alternatively next do footed all in ones in a thing fleece, zip up.

Tumtitum Mon 27-Mar-17 22:56:06

Thanks fruitbadger I think that's the answer. I don't want to leave her as her room gets cold and is really hard to keep at a good temp without the rest of the house being boiling or having to go around turning on and off every bloody radiator...

Goondoit Mon 27-Mar-17 22:56:09

My dad started to pull the shoulder poppers open at around 12 months! She sometimes takes her pj bottoms off too... strange child will not sleep in a baby grow either since being around 7 months!!:

Now she's happy in pyjamas and a blanket or two over her in the night she's 14mo

Tumtitum Mon 27-Mar-17 22:56:30

Dammit I was in IKEA just the other day!! angry

newmumwithquestions Mon 27-Mar-17 22:57:44

We sewed the shoulders so they can't unpop.

newmumwithquestions Mon 27-Mar-17 22:58:07

Saves buying new ones.

Tumtitum Mon 27-Mar-17 23:32:20

That new mum is genius! My mum is here with her sewing machine but going home tomorrow!!! I might have to ask if she can do it before she leaves
