Hello my son is 1. Couple weeks ago i put the side down on his cot so that it could be an extension to my bed. Waste of time. Ill put him in his cot maybe an hour later hes awake and i just put him in my bed purely due to my overtiredness!!! He still wakes in the night for a milk. This morning he woke at 4am. Ive had this week off work purely to sleep while hes at nursery. I cant cope with this broken sleep. How do i progress. What do i need to do? Why wont he sleep in his cot? Any advice greatly appreciated

At aged 1 i would say upu need to night wean if you want more sleep. Are you breastfeeding? Could your partner take over settling at night without feeding?

If you don't want to stop breast feeding in the night, establishing long term safe cosleeping with breast access will be your best way to the most possible sleep.

She might have booked it off as holiday! If she wants to use her holiday to sleep that's up to her!

I know this isn't popular but my dd's sleeping improved dramatically when I gave up trying and just let her sleep in our bed. She still wakes throughout the night but it is much, much better. Realise that isn't for everyone though.
