Sleep

3 month old sleeping

Hello!
Just wondering if people have any thoughts on this. DD is now 3 months old and I'm not sure if this is too young to start trying a sleep routine given apparently at 4m she'll regress anyway. But the NHS recommends she sleep 10-11 at night and has 4-5 hours worth of naps during the day. Well DD is not getting that really, she's just 'awake' until 1am usually and I have to nurse her to sleep. As a result we sometimes end up just co-sleeping but I usually try to put her in her basket when she drops off. Once asleep she'll be out for around 5 hours on average and wake up for a breast feed. Then she'll nap from 9-11 (sometimes but not always) and then maybe a couple of half hour naps later on in the day. At night ideally we'd like her to go down earlier but she just never seems tired enough until 1am ish. Any thoughts on this? Any suggestions? She's breast fed with formula top ups.

Will she sleep if you take her into your bed earlier, say for example, you gave her a bath at 7ish, then a long feed and went to bed with her around 9?

That's a good point- we're thinking of bringing bedtime forward fractionally each night and yes she sometimes does drop off if I do that wth her earlier - not sure she would do it as earlier as 9 - I guess we need to strengthen the associations first? Thanks for replying X
