When to introduce dummy when EBFing?

DD2 is 10 days old and EBF. Feeding seems to be going well so far (especially compared to DD1!) and she's gaining weight well. She seems a bit lazy when it comes to latching on though as she doesn't open her mouth very wide. At night especially when she's sleepy it can take 5-10 minutes to get her on.

Any advice on when it's ok to introduce a dummy? I know the Kellymom advice is to wait 6 weeks but I expect she'll be less likely to take it by then? I'm happy to EBF on demand but have no desire to be a human dummy! Now already she sometimes acts hungry but then just nuzzles and falls asleep! In the long term I'd rather she did this with a dummy than me!

It'll be fine. Give the dummy

Both of my dd's were like this and neither accepted a dummy which I was glad about in the long run but I totally understand how frustrating it is to be a human dummy
