What do you think is a right time for a 7 year old to go to bed?

I've tried and tried to get him to sleep in later but he won't. I'm used to it now after 7 years. Only recently he says he isn't tired at 7pm

My son will naturally wake early. Since pushing bedtime to half 8 he will now sleep until more like half 6/7. 7 is very early a bedtime. Lots of his class watch GBBO so he's up til 9 on Wednesday

My just-turned 7 year old has had a 7.30pm bedtime for several years now. He goes straight to sleep, ususlly within minutes of being kissed goodnight. He can managed 8pm at the weekend, sometimes 8.30pm but this rarely affects the time he wakes.

He is not allowed to get out of bed until 7.00am, he wakes 6.45-7.15am generally.

In bed by 19.30, lights off at 20.30. She normally wakes up around 7.00 and reads until 7.30 on school days.

My little boy goes to bed at 7 but can watch tv/play on iPad until 8.30. He wakes up about 7/7.30

My 7.5 year old is usually in bed by 8pm, asleep by 8.15/8.30 and gets up at 7am. His bedtime has just naturally got later as it was 7.30pm for years but starting several clubs has caused it to be later and he copes fine. He will sleep in if he feels he needs a bit extra.

I do think 7pm is quite early for a 7 year old - that's when my 2 year old goes to bed (unless he has had a nap then it's more like 8pm......)

DD1 goes to bed at 7.45pm, quick story and lights out by 8pm. She generally wakes between 6.30/7am.

If yours gets up that early then I don't think 7pm is too early to go to bed, guess you could try and see if he'll sleep longer in the mornings if you let him stay up a bit?
