I have a bit of an issue!
My 5 month old DS has now decided when it's time to wake up he likes to 'explore' his cot- which results in him being upside down, sideways etc when I go to pick him up.
The last few nights he's been sleeping with a thin sheet over him with it being so warm, and this morning when I walked in he was laid at the bottom of the cot, playing with the sheet over his head!
Obviously I pulled it straight off and now I'm terrified of what to use on him at bedtime in case he suffocates himself!
Does anyone have any advice that I can use for tonight?

Are these suitable even if baby sleeps on their tummy?

Grobags are the answer! My DS is still in his (age 2), he's all over the cot during the night. When it's really hot he's in a 0.5 tog with just his nappy

Silly question but how does it work with night feeds? Do you take them out to feed them or just keep them in it?

Kept them in. Our ds goes into his grow bag at bedtime and comes out in the morning. And he sleeps on his tummy :) he's always hated blankets he just kicked them off somehow regardless of how tight they're tucked in

Yes keep in- often can unzip at bottom on order for easy nappy change if required!

I love baby sleeping bags! It means you don't have to faff around with blankets etc and the baby doesn't get cold during night feeds. Also putting it on has become part of our bedtime routine, my toddler now knows that sleeping bag means bedtime and no more playing.

I'd look for one that either doesn't have poppers on the shoulders or that they're really sturdy ones. Once your DS is able to stand if they stand on the bag and push themselves up the poppers come undone and they can just step out of it. For a 5 month old I'd choose a 6-12 or even 6-18 month size

My next question was going to be about nappy changes!
Yeah I've thought that about sizes cos he's a bit baby too so pointless getting 0-6 isn't it
