Sleep

What time does your four month old go to bed?

Just curious.

DS is a CRAP sleeper. He's normally in bed asleep by 7pm, but feeds from 5:30 until then. Was wondering if I need to tweak his bedtime to improve his nighttime sleep Confused

Same here. Do you mean feeds off and on from 5.30-7 (that's probably what we do). Are there a lot of night wakings/early start? I'm not really a shining example to be followed! DD sleeps 7-10, then wakes 3/4 times to feed (quite quickly) before waking at 6.30am. That's probably quite crap but better than my first baby so rolling with it. Will watch this thread with interest, though.

cinammon That's exactly DS' pattern.

Baby stays downstairs napping with me for my daytime if 7am-10pm, following a repeated routine of:

Feed
Approx 40-60 mins awake
Approx 30-45 mins asleep
Feed
Approx 40-60 mins awake
Approx 30-45 mins asleep
Feed...

And so on.

Bathtime and into sleepsuit at the wake up that happens around 7pm-8pm. Then baby upstairs at the feed which falls around 10pm-11pm ish

"Bedtime" (baby going upstairs into cot at 7pm or whatever) happens naturally as naps extend and baby starts having to be woken at 10ish when I go to bed, rather than baby waking themselves in the evening. For DC4 this was around 5 to 6 months old.
