DD is 13 weeks currently goes to bed at 10pm and sleeps 7-8h which is great. I keep reading and hearing folk say that this is too late and bed should be around 7-8pm. I tried that but she didn't have the nice long sleep and instead woke at 2am and 5am. Am I being selfish to keep her up til 10pm? She does sleep in the evenings but they are naps down in the lounge with us.

Do what works for you! At that age dd2 was sleeping 9-12 hours but went down at 7pm.

She's 6 mths now and wakes 2-3 times a night 😣

DS 1 would nap downstairs on my lap and come up to bed with me at 10. He did that every night till he started nursery at 3.
DS2 will not sleep downstairs of an evening any more. He's 7 months now, at 4 months he started to grumble and be generally pretty miserable till he was taken upstairs to bed. He gave himself a 7pm bedtime. I would keep him downstairs if I could!
Do whatever is best for you. I would stick with the 10pm bedtime for now.

I have one the same age and she goes to sleep usually between 9-10pm. I was advised to start a bedtime routine based on her natural sleeping time and then gradually bring it forward until she is sleeping at 7pm. I have had no success - she sleeps when she's ready. I'm just going with it and will keep an eye out for signs that she's getting tired earlier. At the moment if she sleeps earlier it's just a late nap, so she wakes up ready to play, rather than just going back to sleep after a feed.

It doesn't sound like she's ready for an earlier bedtime yet, do what works for you.
It's safer from a SIDS risk perspective for her to nap in the same room with you until 6 months anyway.
