Hurrah we got to 1,000! Is it sad to feel a bit proud?? Thanks for starting this Zombie. Although sorry we're all still here of course!

I've been a bit quiet lately but sad to say i'm still here. Yeah DD sleep is no better! Does anybody elses family/friends ask the same question every single bloody time they see you. 'Hows the sleeping going'? Aaaaaaah so sick of it!

Hope your evenings are going ok...Confused

Place marking. Not a good night so far here Sad

Oh yes Holly! I just look at them and they shut up Wink Didn't stop someone frim actually saying 'still?? But she's 7 months now, surely she should be over it by now?' Grr.

Bad night here. Despite co sleeping so many wake ups. At one point I found myself pleading 'what do you want?? Just tell me!' Having a cold and gales outside didn't help. House viewings here start at 11 till 4. Gonna be a looooong day...

Awful isn't it?

Does anyone else have those nights where you know you must have slept a little bit, but have no actual memory of sleeping? Shock

zombiemeow · 30/01/2016 09:08

Purple we should be proud we survived to 1k on such little sleep Grin I do that loads, 'please just tell me what you want!' And of course 'yes your tired, sleep will help I promise!'

Holly I have that question at least twice a day Hmm

Bad night here too, got ds in bed with me a stupid o clock in the morning, he then bit my bingo wing Hmm it hurt.

We had a mixed night. Up every 2 hours, but the win was that I managed to resettle her (with a bit of a protest) in the cot at the 12 and 2am wake ups. But at the 4am one I heard noise (no crying) on the monitor, saw her shifting, thought I'd go and check and by the time I got into her room she was standing in her cot. What do I do at that point? I took her our and fed her in the hope she'd go to sleep and brought her in with us where she waved her arms about and babbled for about an hour before going back to sleep again. Should I just have left her until she's upset? I worry she might fall as she's only learnt standing very recently.

Zombie i just to think to myself believe me if DD sleep changes for the better i'll be sure to shout it from the rooftops!

Purple - Annoying eh? I hope the house viewings go ok for you today.

DD got in with us about 11:30pm after i tried to resettle her in her cot (probably could of tried harder but was too tired) she was constantly throwing her head side to side, waving arms & fidgeting non stop. She was still the same in with us!

hello ladies...officially joining in rather than just lurking like before!

My little wriggler is the same...where do they get all this energy from?!
Although in fairness, it was a good night as I was able to resettle him fairly quickly at the wake ups at 2.30, 3.10, 4.10 (30min feed) and 5.50. Even got a lie in til 6.40!!

and yep, EVERY day..'so, did he sleep though?' grrrrrrrr. Yes I KNOW he's 10 months now, yes I KNOW EVERY other baby in your day was sleeping though from when they were still in the womb........grrrrrrr!

Fluffikins - i wouldn't have left her either

dreamonastar - yes! all the time! And those nights when you close your eyes and what feels like 5 mins later they're screaming again, but the clock tells you is was 2 hours....the clock lies! :-)

Hi tiredybear!

I think Dd does her 4am party thing when I've had caffeine, I only ever have a bit of dark choc of 1 cup of caffeinated tea but j think it's enough to affect her

Hi tierdy! How old is your ds?

We have had hardly any naps today. Got him down around 6.45ish, he woke up about 10 mins ago and won't settle. He sleeps on me but the second I put him down he screams.

I need to set a regular bed time I think but it's so hard when his naps are all over the place as he gets too tired then I don't want to keep him up he gets over tired if I do. Maybe I just need to try it for a week or so.

What's a good bedtime for a 14 mo?

7pm zombie? Ooooo it must be your sleep clinic soon...??

Report
fluffikins · 30/01/2016 20:24

Realised I've been getting dd's signals wrong. Every night before bed she's been screaming at me in the nursing chair after j feed her. I thought it was just a "aaarrrghh I need to sleep" thing she had to get out of her system and after a bit of a shout she'd calm down and settle, but today I tried her on the other boob and she took it all! I'm such an idiot, she's obviously been saying "I need more milk!" Shock

Report
zombiemeow · 30/01/2016 20:38

Thanks starfish will try 7. He does follow a routine (bath, bottle, bed) but it's never been like a strict routine. May try him with that for a bit. Sleep clinic is 16th but I doubt it will help much Hmm

Fluff, at least you know now! Maybe it will help having more milk tonight?

Fingers crossed everyone!

Evening all! Anyone else settling in for a tough night? Every night DD is settling for less time in her cot. And waking earlier in the morning. I'm really worried that she's just moving towards never sleeping at all! And surely she can't be getting enough sleep? I'm giving serious thought to seeing our GP. Not sure how much help they'd be though? I just don't understand how her sleep is getting so bad! Surely it should be improving??

On top of that I'm shattered after a full day of showing people round our house and I have a blocked nose thanks to the evil cold. I am feeling more than a little desperate! Anyone around for some hand holding please??

Purple BrewThanks that's crap. Ds is the same. Surely their sleep needs to improve soon!

Think sounds like you had a rough one too, hope he settled for you.

Star.... Omg!!!! Grin that is wicked!!!! Well done!

We had a crap one, going to try bed at 7 tonight. Do you think I should stick to 7 even if he's really tired?

Hello, so I'm guessing this is a thread for the children that don't sleep...... Is anyone else sleep training?
I have an 18mo ds and a 3yo dd, who have to share a room. We are going to sleep train ds who's a pathetic sleeper starting tonight. We are moving dd into our room so she's not woken, which seems a bit counter productive seeing as we are trying to get children out of our room!
