When will my baby sleep through the night?? He is nearly 13 weeks old. From around 8 weeks he has gone from his 630 feed through to around 2 to 3am for his next feed. This has been pretty steady for the past few weeks a few times he went to 430.
The last few nights I decided to try and give him his dummy. I stressed that I was starving him but he went to 6/630 but not without waking loads for his dummy. I felt I was putting myself under too much pressure and him too. So last night I decided if he woke I would feed him. I gave him 5 feeds during the day so he was quite full when he went to bed. He spent until 4 didn't wake for dummy at all so I fed him. Sleep was a bit disturbed from then but he slept until 7.
Basically I don't know if he is waking as habit or if he really needs it. I mean how do I know if it is just comfort for dummy or hunger? I guess it's trial and error? I shouldn't complain as going from 7 until 4 is pretty good and I guess I am expecting too much as some of my friends had babies that slept through the night at 12 weeks.
He is a very good contented baby. Any advice or experience welcome!! Xx
