My baby girl (actually a toddler ) is 15 months, and has always been a rubbish napper, resisting going down and waking after 45 mins. But I always thought that once they got older and down to one nap they grew out of it and started having longs naps- why hasn't this happened?! Is this common, or I am the only idiot doing this nap stuff wrong?!
She's now at nursery and has been since age one. She now sleeps for an hour and a half/ two hours in a light and noisy room. But at home she will only do 45 mins and wakes up screaming her head off. I've tried to replicate nursery now, time wise (at lunch) making it lighter, white noise etc. but still the same. (Prior to that it was pitch black and silent win the same result) She only sleeps 10-10.5 hrs at night so I'm sure she's not getting enough sleep with 45 mins napping a day and she usually cries in the arms for about ten mins after waking as she is in a furious mood. She also usually cries about going down for naps- generally is not a fan.
Has anyone else had this, and anyone else got a cure?!? I need some time in the day to actually do stuff- I'm over this 45 minute shit!!. Everyone said when she went to one nap she would sleep longer- why isn't she?!?!? Argggh!!!
