Moving into own room nightmare

DD is almost 7 months and we've finally moved her into her own room. Last night was the first night and it was a nightmare. In our room she usually slept until 1am then up for a feed. After that she would wake up briefly for a dummy or most likely because she heard us. Last night she woke at 11 and screamed until I fed her at 1230. Even then it took a a good 10 minutes post fed to settle her, which NEVER happens. I stayed with her the whole time and slept in her room. All day naps were fine bar one where she was clearly overtired. Now she has been screaming as loud as she can for 45 minutes. I've tried picking her up and walking her to sleep, holding her to sleep. She stops screaming but just looks around. I know she may be overtired again but honestly it just seems too much of a coincidence. I don't think she's teething or I'll. I don't think it's gas... Is it normal for them to freak out in a new room? She's never done anything like this, slept in plenty of different rooms in different places with NO issue. Just driving me insane because she is SO distressed and I know she needs to sleep but she can't be soothed in any way that's worked for months.

You can't realistically make a judgment based on one night. Give it a week at least.

What would be the big deal to bring the cot back into your room if needs be? You could do the change a bit more gradually. Move the cot from next to your bed, to a foot away from the bed. Then as far from the bed as it can go. Then swap the cot to Dad's side of the bed. Then put the cot at the end of your bed near your feet. Then near the door of your room. And so on.
