Sleep

8 month old has hardly slept for 2 months!

DD , 8 months, slept for 8-12 hour stretches until she cut her first tooth at 6 months. Since then, nobody gets a bloody wink at night and she wakes up almost hourly. She's getting more teeth now and I wonder if I will ever sleep again.

A few factors that coincided: I stopped breastfeeding, I've been abroad for three weeks to visit family, she started eating solids and she has been learning how to crawl. Apart from that, her routine is exactly the same.

I guess what I'm asking is whether anyone else had such a long period of bad sleep, and whether things went back to normal? She still sleeps in our room in her own bed.

It could be a combination of the 3 things. How is she on her formula, does it seem to be upsetting her tum at all? Is she getting the minimum of 20floz?

What do you do when she wakes?

Thanks for your answer. She eats well and appears to tolerate formula well. When she wakes up I either shush her in bed or pick her up and let her go back to sleep in my arms. It doesn't make any difference which one I do, she wakes up again shortly after.
