My little boy goes to sleep at around 11pm and usually wakes for feed between 4-5am.....last night he went to bed at 11 and woke at 6:45....is this normal or should i be worried? He tends to constantly want a bottle in his mouth from around 9pm every night he kicks his legs and waves his arms as if hes in pain but doesnt cry like a colicy baby! I have a 4 yr old and he suffered colic so i know the signs..... Please comment ladies is it too early for my baby to sleep through????? Or should i count my blessings ????x thnx

count your blessings because it probably won't last...

enjoy it while you can Smile

6 week olds can sleep through though they tend to be the bigger babies that do it.

so long as his nappies are continuing to be nice and wet, is eating regularly during the day and is not suffering a decline in weight gain then i would enjoy it while it lasts.

Mine did this too, sorry it didn't last for us either possibly as we tried to bring her sleep time forward.

Mine did this, and pretty much stayed doing it. When she was a bit older we started putting her down earlier and then introduce a dream feed at around 11, and she went through until about 4am on that.

Some babies are natural sleepers. Count your blessings, hope for the best (but plan for the worst!)

Enjoy!

My second DC was like this. She slept through from 8pm-7am from 6 weeks old. She wasnt a particularly big baby (7lbs at birth) but she was a MONSTER feeder and would guzzle a lot of milk during the day and especially in the hour or two before bed.

She is 6 yrs old now and has always been a solid night time sleeper.

My first child didnt sleep for more than 4 hours at a time until he was 2.5 years old. So honestly...enjoy it! Grin

Mine did this from 8 weeks and she was BF, she did feed constantly from 6.00pm until 9.30pm though. And yes, it did carry on and got even better, 12 hours sleep regularly from about 12 weeks.
She was 7lb 6 at birth.

DD slept through from 4 weeks! Although started waking every hour at 3 months!

My DD did this from 6 weeks too and just gradually started getting to sleep earlier so slept for longer and longer with no return to shorter sleeps even when ill or teething or growth spurts. So when DS came along we had a bit of a shock that he wasn't quite so compliant!

Thanks mixed reviews but will hope for the best tonight but will be expecting a night feed as i think its too good to be true. 1st dream iv had since being pregnant and having crazy nightmares! Should i try and keep him awake for longer at night or let him sleep as and when he wants?
