Sleep routines home vs. nursery

Hi,

my 16 month old DS is a brilliant night sleeper (lucky, I know). At nursery, he sleeps like clockwork 12-2 every day, sometimes naps in the car on the way home.

At weekends at home it used to be the exact same until a few weeks ago... but he has now got increasingly difficult to put down for a nap... last Saturday it was 3pm until he slept, and that only after knackering him out on the playground.

I don't really need any strategies to get him to sleep during the day... it is useless trying to make him sleep if he doesn't want to, and that's fine to me, except I am loosing my vital two hours of getting housework done. I was just wondering whether any of yours have got such different home vs. nursery routines, and whether any of yours have dropped daytime naps that early, as I have got the feeling this is the way we are going....

I myself apparently stopped daytime naps at 18 months... would stand in the cot crying and peel the wallpaper off in rage, or so my mum told me...

Thanks!
