Sleeping on face

My 21 week old DS has now taken to sleeping on his face....

He can roll onto his front and has rolled onto back (when he first started rolling 3 weeks ago), but has never done it since.

Yesterday put him back onto his back 10 times in 30 mins whilst trying to get him to nap - gave up and put him in his bouncer in the end as he was really moaning.

Do I leave him like this? Do I turn him over? Why won't he turn his head to the side? Help - pic included for reference!

Bless him Smile. Could you just turn his head to one side?

This is pretty normal movement. He's making a choice about what's comfy. If he can move his head side to side in tummy time, he's fine.
Make more of your nap time breaks, have a Brew

DD used to do this. Freaked me out until I realised she was really sleeping on her hands - as in her hands where under her face, and thus stopping her nose from squashing into the mattress. Looks like your DS is doing the same thing. After a few nights of trying to flip her over, and waking her up, we just left her to it. She was, and still is, fine!

my dd did this from day 1!! I spent days staying up all night so i could turn her back over to her back only for her to wake up and scream for hours. I gave up and let her sleep on her face. she is now 33 weeks and thriving. - still sleeps on her front, face buried in a toy/blanket/mattress
