How old are your children and what time do they go to bed?

A campaign for later bed times has been started here, not sure I agree but I have said I will ask on MN what time others go to bed.

So, what age are your children and what time do they go to bed?

5 yo & 3 yo - both 7pm (they share a room) but can watch a Disney video, play or read as long as it's in their room. Both asleep before the film ends around 8pm.

3yr old 8yr old, between 7.30 and 8.15 on a school night.
3yr old between 8-9 and 8 yr old between 9-10pm on Fridays. Saturdays as the rest of the week. This changes in the summer Hols, then it's usually at least 9pm before they are both in bed...unless they want to go earlier.

6, 5 & 2 all in bed by 7 (except on Beaver's night for eldest two). My dad keeps saying they should go later but they still need their 12 hours, and are knackered after Beaver's late night, which is still only 8! Until it becomes an issue we'll continue.

5 yo & 15mo - 6pm

Quite early I know but the 5yo reads for a while in bed and I think it's good for her to relax a little bit by herself. The 15mo is asleep within 5 mins most nights and they both wake at 6.30am.

In school holidays they will both have later bed times by 1hr in the hope they wake up 1hr later!!

DS2 (4) goes to bed at 7pm. DS1 (13) goes to bed at 9.30pm (he usually reads for about an hour in bed between 8.30 and 9.30 and has lights out at 9.30).

They both require a lot of sleep.

2 (almost 3) year old: probably leave her room after stories at 7:15pm

5 year old: probably leave her room at about 7:30pm and she usually reads for about 15 mins before turning her light off.

They both wake up between 6:30am and 7am.

How old are yours, OP?

What is the rationale behind the campaign for later bedtimes, btw?

4yr old 8pm ish (sleeps until 8am ish)

6month old 8-8.30pm, sleeps until 8am ish Smile

I'm on Mat leave at the moment so they can stay in bed until 8ish & we just get to pre-school for ds on time, when I go back to work they will prob go to bed a bit earlier the night before my work days as will have to get up slightly earlier.

They also stay up a bit later sometimes on fri/sat so we get a bit of a lie in, we are lucky that they are both pretty flexibleGrin
