Trouble getting sleep here. What toy/thing has your baby taken to or sleeps with /snuggles up to?
Any ideas for any sleep training?
Thankyou

A Jellycat Mouse.

They seem very popular, the Jellycat stuff.

How old? I wouldnt plan on doing sleep training with a baby baby.

She's nearly 10 months now. X

Ds1 had/has a Fisher price seahorse which has a light up tummy and plays tunes. Worked a treat and he still uses it occasionally at 3.5

Ds2 has a Ewan the dream sheep - he's 13 weeks so not sure it is any use to him just yet. The white noise worked when he was tiny, I think we are having a regression at the moment and he is fighting all sleep

Yes we've got that seahorse too! She hasn't particularly latched onto anything. Wondered whether she might take to a taggie blanket. We've also got a cuski but she's not overly into that. X

Has anyone else got any ideas?

DS is 19 months, but from about 9 months has been massively attached to a big, green, cuddly frog thing from Sainsburys. It's really quite ugly, but he loves his froggy and uses him as a pillow! In the mornings, I hear him saying "Ahhhh, Froggy" and cuddling him - so cute! It didn't make any difference to his sleep, he's been a good sleeper since about 6 months without us doing any "training" (I know we're lucky), but I think it does help him settle if he's sleeping in a strange place or on holiday etc.

DD got attached to her muslins that were used as blankets from birth. Not sure the attachment can be created...

The sleep training is to get her to sleep through? Or settle in cot?

We could do with her sleeping for longer spells of time and settling back off to sleep when she wakes.

How is she getting back to sleep now?

Muslin cloth works well

Dds thing is sodding macca pacca. I don't wish that on you wink

DS1 liked a muslin. Started at about 10 months, still going strong aged 4.

DS2 likes the large red ring from his set of stacking rings. Failing that he'll have a small red sieve that he plays with in the bath. Weirdo. He's 15 months.

We introduced a Mothercare 'bedtime bear' when DD was having sleep trouble around 11 months. Very soft and she loves cuddling it. An ideal bedtime companion. We also use a small fan for white noise as DD is easily disturbed.

For sleep training we've twice done the system where you put DC down and leave them for 2, 5, 8 mins. Worked really well for us but doesn't for all children. We'd used it 2nd time when DD got into bad habits during illness and wanting to be visited an increasing number of times per night. Now she always sleeps right through and gets a good night's rest.
