ds is 14 wks old, 9 wks corrected and as the above says, I can't get him to sleep for any longer than 10 mins. he will nap longer in the sling, car, too hot here to take a walk in the pram. I know he is still only young, and I wouldn't mind so much if he didn't need so many naps. Sad Sad Sad

Bless you. It's horrible when they won't nap and they're obviously tired. One thing that helped me get DS to nap was a white noise app on my phone. He seemed to like the one that sounded like heavy rain. One of my friends had success putting her baby in the pram and pushing it backwards and forwards in the kitchen til they fell asleep - could you try that if it's too hot outside?

He will I'm sure.... My DS only napped in the sling or pram for the first 16 weeks then he found his thumb and he goes to sleep in his cot now. Was pretty exhausting ensuring he got his sleep but thing do 'just change'. Good luck

Here's hoping, thank you Smile . We did have a 20 minute nap yesterday but it just wasn't enough. I am happy to roll with it, I am just worried it is going to affect his nighttime sleep, I can cope with the days if the nights are ok.

Unfortunately, using white noise has not helped. Not quite sure where to go from here Sad
Dh has got ds in the sling at the moment and it is such a welcome break.

Have you tried wake to sleep? My dd was a short napper and I used this to increase her naps.

You time a few naps and see at what point do they start to wake, then for every nap almost wake and re-settle them just before they would wake naturally.

I didn't explain it well here but I'm sure you could do a search. It worked for dd.
