13 month old screaming for hours

Please help, my dd is waking most nights and screams for an hour or more, she can self settle but this seems to have gone out the window. Her first 4 molars have recently come through and we thought it was that but we are at the end of our ideas. Dr was useless and we just don't know what to do, is this normal as everyone seems to tell us? Or are we doing something wrong?

Could it be nightmares/night terrors? I have a nephew that did the same thing. If it is, not a lot you can do but sit by/cuddle and comfort I think.
