Toddlers: The Mumsnet Guide - advice and experiences from parents who have been in your position and lived to tell the tale!
our neighbours are quite noisy, we've always used white noise and he sleeps 6-6. is it ok gor him?
No expert but we are still going with white noise here at 17 months and no plans to stop as it's really helped DD's sleep. I think we'll keep going until she actually asks us to switch it off
We still use white noise at 15 months.
Fine, but my parents used white noise and I still need it now, in my thirties.
Does he really need it?I know you say that neighbours are noisy, but are you sure that they'd wake him?My advice is to gradually turn down the volume over a few nights and see if he notices, with a view to stopping it after a week or so...However, if he's up crying and upset, then you've got your answer that he needs it! Also, then you can go and tell your neighbours to shush. My next door neighbours are also noisy, I actually think they are herding elephants in their living room sometimes
