I've got one. He's 8mo and getting worse.
At 3mo he was regularly sleeping 12 hours at night, then he stated waking at 4ish for a feed. Now he's wanting food three times a night. I can't decide whether he's actually hungry or if he just thinks I'm a big dummy. I'm thinking of trying PU/PD - it worked well with my older son but I need to feel sure it's the right time to try it.
So, I'd love to know - when did your lo start sleeping through the night again and has anyone got any tips to help mine do the same?

maretta, could be teething. My dd liked to nibble at night and would scream bloody murder if unlatched. Was a human dummy until 17 months, when I went cold turkey. Slept through after that.

I tried "no Cry Sleep Solution" by Elizabeth Pantley - I think she recommends a method of unlatching by depressing the baby's lower lip to maintain the pressure?? Did not work on dd. I never did PU/PD or controlled crying. Hope others can give you better tips.

My DS use to sleep through the night from when he was 6 weeks and then suddenly that stopped at about 6/7mths and I was shocked. Everyone kept telling me it must b due to teething but he didnt get his first tooth till he was nearly 13mths by which time waking up had become a habit. He is 15mths now and still sometimes wakes up but unlike before I refuse to bring him into bed unless its after 5am in the morning. This probably doesnt help much but rest assured I have been there. Some get better and where they dont like my son u just become more laid back about it all

apparently if a baby wakes up around about 7-8 months it means they are not getting enough food through the day or are not satisfied. I'm not saying that is the case with you are you weaning?

Mine did. Slept 7 til 7 from about 10 weeks until about 20 weeks. Then starting waking up and has never slept 12 hours since. Yes, she thinks I am just a great big dummt. Will be watching this.

Weaning at 6 months made it worse for me. Love these "they're not getting enough food in the day" theories. What are you supposed to do, force feed them? Mine would not take EBM at all and would clamp her mouth shut if didn't want any more food.

That wasn't a go at you pepperpots btw, just the glib theory.

My DS i 7.5 months old and is on three meal a day now and still drinking his required amount of milk, so what is not enough food counted as. My DS does not sleep through the night a usuall night for us consists of waking 4 - 5 times for drink water or his dummy putting back in then wakes to get up between five and six. It is killing us we are so tired taking the nights in turn.

same here!! DS was sleeping at 10 weeks from about 8 pm to 7 am at 10 weeks, started waking up once at 3 am for feed, than at 10 and 3, than at 11, 2, and 4!!! AND now he is waking up at 5:30 as well, I AM GOING CRAZZYYY!!!!! I really didn't know what to do, so now I offer him a drink of water when he wakes up and I don't feed him at all between 7 and 7. He still wakes up and cries, but I am very firm and will not feed him until he snaps out of it. He has increased his feeding during the day and eats three meals a day (7 months) and loads of milk. Hopefully he'll get used to it and stop waking up!!

let me know if you find a solution
