If I catch 2 mo DS when he's getting tired (yawning, rubbing eyes, red eyes) he goes down to sleep reasonably well on his own in his moses basket or cot....I might have to pop his dummy in once or twice and give his tummy a bit of a rub but generally he goes off quite well. But taking naps in the living room seems to mean he wakes up after 15-20 mins - i think I am disturbing him by doing chores/watching telly etc.
I think he needs longer daytime sleeps than this and am aiming for 45-mins an hour in the morning and a good two hours over lunchtime, plus half an hour in the evening.
Can I put him in his bedroom, with a monitor, for daytime naps? Should I leave a light on/curtains open to differentiate from nighttime?
We live in a small flat so i will never be far away.
