Help! Sleep fallen off a cliff (6mo)

A month ago we had sleeping through, 7pm-6.30am.

Then he started waking up once during a bout of teething. I feed him and he tends to fall straight back to sleep (although I make sure to burp him and put him in his cot awake).

This has now ramped up to waking 4 or 5 times a night! Tonight it has been: asleep at 7.10, wake ups at 10, 12.30, 2, 3.30 and likely once more before morning.

He is BF and started weaning a couple of weeks ago, now onto 2 small 'meals' a day. Daytime naps are good, 3 x c.45 mins (although lunchtime one is sometimes 1.5hrs).

Help! Any ideas?

If he slept through before without feeds then I'd stop feeding in the night and try and settle him some other way. My DS did this and it was tough for two nights then he slept through again. Then he started teething and we get no sleep nowHmm.

I can join you in your misery! Dd2 is 6 months on Sunday and was a fabulous sleeper until a few weeks ago when we all came down with flu. She's gone from sleeping 7:30-7 to waking at least twice. I thought we were really lucky to have skipped the whole 4 month sleep regression that dd1 tortured us with but it seems to have just been delayed!

At the moment she wakes at 7 (on the rare occasions that she doesn't I have to wake her anyway because of the school run), has a nap at 9 which might be for 20 minutes, or might be an hour, then another nap between 12:30 and 2:30ish. Sometimes she falls asleep again at 4ish for half an hour, bath at 6:30, bed by 7:30. She'll then wake at 10ish for a feed, and again at 4. Last night she woke at 3 and didn't fall asleep again until 4:45. We try to avoid feeding her at that time, most nights she'll settle as long as one of us has a hand on her and she likes to suck a muslin. Sometimes she'll fall back to sleep after a few minutes, some nights are like last night! I really don't want to get back into the habit of feeding her twice in the night, will your lo settle without milk?

There's a growth spurt at 6 months so maybe trying to ramp up your milk supply? Fingers crossed it settles down quickly!!
