Hi all,
My 11 month old has always been a good sleeper generally sleeping 11 hours at night, with one resettle at around 3am, when i usually bring him in with us.
At around 9 months I started PUPD as it was taking 50mins of me pacing the floors until he fell asleep. Tbh it worked really well, he objeceted a bit but nothing more than expected.
However over the last week when he has been tired it has been a whole other story.
Last night he fell asleep on his bottle at 7.15pm and slept in his cot for 15 mins then woke hysterical, he would not be put down, he was clinging to me like his life depended on it, his face was soaking with tears (and the contents of his nose), it really was the hardest cry. I tried lying with him in my bed but everytime it looked like he was about to drift off he started screaming again. thought he might be in pain so gave nurofen. Eventually i put him in the car just to calm him down, after driving for 20min he still wasnt asleep but when i transferred him to his cot he fell asleep calmly, at 9.20!! He then woke at 4.40am and started the hard cry again but after a drink of water calmed down quickly.
It could be teeth but he already has 6 and was neither up nor down with them.
We have had a bit of this crying during the day, generally when he wants his own way (lifted) or when im out of sight, but its not consistent.
Anyone any ideas why he is crying like this all of a sudden particularly at night?
He not a great napper yesterday he woke at 6.20am, had a nap 12.30pm til 2.10 and that was him til night time, is it just overtiredness?
Thanks

DS used to get what I call 'The Rage' when overtired, and the best way to get him to sleep was to put him in his pram and take him for a walk. Now DGD gets it too. She'll sometimes get to the point of falling asleep then scream blue murder. It's like she's afraid to go to sleep for fear of missing out!

That's all I've got, sorry.
