Moving from Moses basket to cot!

Hi.
Our 10week old is to big now for his Moses basket...but he seems to love it. He will sleep happily in it for 12 hours at night (only waking for 1feed) and have his naps in there in the day. Happy to go down awake n fall to sleep on his own.

As he is getting so big in there now, we though we better move him to his cot. First night was fine, woke at 12, but when straight back to sleep with a quick cuddle, but since then (2 weeks ago) it's got worse. Last night he woke at 10:45, 11:30, 12:30 (we decided to feed him now as he was WIDE awake) 3pm (again fed him) them woke at 4:30 5:30 and got up at 7:15!!!
HELP. we've been so lucky with his sleeping, this is such a shock to the system! Is there anything we can do to help him not wake, as we know he can do it??
I m starting to loose the plot!!

It might be the new sleeping set up, but it might also be the descent into The Great Sleep Deprivation of Early Babyhood (think I'll continue using that term and patent it).

You'll find a recurring theme in this forum of babies (mine included) that slept like perfect angels from birth until X weeks - usually somewhere between 10 and 14 - where it just all went to pot, seemingly overnight. Then you hit the joys of the four month sleep regression, then, in theory, it gets better for a bit, only to get worse again.

What I'm saying is, babies' sleeping habits do not remain static. Because your baby is so small, I think you're just going to have to do whatever works for now (feed to sleep? Hold until heavily asleep then transfer into cot? White noise?), surrender any idea that you'll get him 'back to where he was', and invest it a good coffee machine!! Smile Brew
