Hi all,
Just bought one and it arrived today. DD1 is 3yr2mo and has been waking between 4am and 6am everyday since way before her 3rd birthday. I tried all sorts of bribes/incentives/timer on her lamp in her room/putting her to bed later/earlier/bla bla bla. Anyway, finally caved and ordered a Gro Clock.

But the problem is, I dont want to discourage her from using it by setting it to sunrise at a time much later than her normal 05:30/6am start. I worried she'll wake early and lie there for hours waiting and this will put her off using it.
Did you start with earlier times and work backwards? What are your success stories? I would love it if I could get her waking around 0645. Nothing to optimistic, just not 5am like this morning! zzzzzz

I think the theory is to start at roughly their normal waking time and then add 5 minutes every 2 days until they reach your preferred time.

Hi we have been using one for a year now. We started off at the time he was waking then gradually moved it on after a week or so. DS was originally a 5 am boy but we now have it for 7 am. There were times when we had to change it back by 15 mins or so but believe me it does work

Forgot to say, there is no way she will wait for hours. Start realistically with a 5.45 am start and then on the second week move to 6 am and see how it goes

Thanks everso
She is SO tired at the moment, Her behaviour is terrible. Nothing like the normal little girl we have. DH is away until oct so I'm flying solo and really need her help in getting through each day.
At the moment I feel like we are working against each other, but she can be SUCH a sweet girl and so helpful and polite. I want my DD back!
