How do I get DD2 to drop 4am feed?

sooo frustrated. DD2 is 3m old and is taking bottle feed of 6.5oz (180ml) at 7am, 10.30am, 2.30am, 6.30pm, 10.45pm.... So totally text book in that respect, but has got herself into a 4.20am feed "habit" - i only give her 2oz (60ml) then she goes off again. She's slept through twice but that was 3 wk ago. How do I get her to drop the 4.20am feed? DD1 did it at 7 wks but I know we were supa lucky with her!

All babies are different and at three months many of them still need to be fed during the night. My daughter was still having a feed during the night for months after that (she was a small baby and was breastfed). It is possible that your daughter is going through a growth spurt, so I wouldn't advise trying to drop the feed just yet.

My DD was having a night feed until about 4.5 months. She started waking later and later for it and I noticed that she wouldn't drink a bottle in the morning., I think she was waking out of habit.

I started giving her a bit of water when she woke up until she stopped bothering!! It didn't take very long.
