DD has never been a good sleeper during the day; however over the last three months or so has had a reasonably reliable nap time at about 9am, lasting anywhere between 15 minutes and 45 (if I'm really lucky). She doesn't tend to sleep in the afternoon and might snatch five minutes in the car around lunchtime, but that's about it.
I rely heavily on the morning nap to get anything done, have a cup of tea or even just to sit down as she is into everything at the moment. Over the last week or so, even the 9am nap has gone so it means we're both on the go from 6am to 8pm (or 9:30pm if last night was anything to go by..) and I'm shattered!
Meanwhile my niece, who is two and a half, has a two-hour nap in the middle of the day and has done since she was about 11 months old. (envy emoticon)
Is it normal for a 13 month old not to need any naps? She has also taken to waking once or twice in the night and being really hard to settle again - more that she's lively and raring to go than being in distress. Anyone else had a similar experience? Is there light (or dark) at the end of the tunnel
