any ideas?

Usually very content baby, week old, eats and sleeps regular in the day, goes down in Moses basket etc with little fuss, however getting her off to sleep at night in her basket is now a real challenge. She seems to not be interested and does not want to settle. For the last few nights it's been 1am but tonight we're still trying to get her off at it's 2am. She's not got a temperature and i'm not expecting her to have a sleep routine by now, just wondered if anyone had any ideas?
thanks!

At that stage my DD started to want to sleep on me rather than in the bassinet. She did it for about 2 weeks following and then was happy in the bed next to me and then by about 13 weeks was in her own cot. Not ideal, I know, but if you're desperate for some sleep tonight it might be a short term solution :).

She might like to be swaddled.it's a big deal for them to suddenly be out of the womb & a Moses basket isn't quite the same...although looks cosy to us!
I swaddled both of mine, you don't need any fancy blankets necessarily.babies do like it,and try and do it when they're already calm.

Thank you so much- have tried the swaddling and, touch wood, it seems to have made a big difference. Plus i've also made sure we've had longer feeding times and put her down about every two hours, very early doors yet, but just to have had 24 hours of calm is worth it's weight in gold. Thanks again.xxx
