Sorry for the Daily Mail link

What the F**k!

SaggyHairyArse Tue 30-Nov-10 11:25:51

It looks good! Can't see the problem myself. He has admitted he has had the transplant, what's the problem?

noddyholder Tue 30-Nov-10 11:44:40

He He! he was in my drama club when we were at school and he had a huge afro type curly hairdo which was the butt of many a joke He prob wishes he still had it now!

LadyBlaBlah Tue 30-Nov-10 11:46:23

I think he looks great

maktaitai Tue 30-Nov-10 11:47:39

Good for him for being open about it. Though rather a direct advert for one specific place.

I always prefer it, if an actor is going to have cosmetic surgery, that they are open about it, rather than pretending it's because they sleep 12 hours a night and drink a lot of water. But am a bit conflicted because I don't want it to be normalised.... aargh!

AitchTwoOh Tue 30-Nov-10 11:49:08

fair enough, he's being up front about it. (although do wish it wasn't so advertorial-y)

BunnyLebowski Tue 30-Nov-10 11:51:20

I think he looks fantastic. Good for him.

DP is only 28 and has been pretty much bald since 25. He looks older than his age. It really really gets to him and has affected his confidence and self-esteem hugely sad.

I showed him the Jimmy Nesbitt article and he would do the same tomorrow if we could afford it sad.

TheCrackFox Tue 30-Nov-10 11:51:37

It is very realistic looking.

Message withdrawn at poster's request.

I think if more men were more open about it, fewer men would put up with the shite results that happen with some treatments. Reclaim the scalp, gentlemen!

DuelingFanio Tue 30-Nov-10 12:10:01

I don't think there's anything wrong with it but I doubt he made a decision to be 'up front' about it, he wouldn't really have been able to hide the fact. So no Kudos there!

I guess I think he looks better without all that hair grin but so long as he feels better that's all that matters grin

LadyBlaBlah Tue 30-Nov-10 12:44:57

I'm just wondering whether to email DH the link grin

AitchTwoOh Tue 30-Nov-10 17:15:58

well, no, right enough it would have been spotted anyway, but it's quite nice that he is being up front about the effect that his hair loss had on his confidence etc, iykwim? he could have just tried to bluff his case and said he did it for roles. (which i know he is saying a bit).

5inthebed Tue 30-Nov-10 17:22:23

He looks good, something George Clooney-esque about him. Nothing horrific about that.

whiteliesaregoodlies Tue 30-Nov-10 18:27:46

Some of us actually like bald men (says the woman whose DH has thicker hair than hers)!

pointydog Tue 30-Nov-10 18:42:41

WEll he's right, isn't he. He will be offered loads more parts as a bloke with hair so it makes very good business sense to invest in hair.

Don;t see a problem with it

AitchTwoOh Tue 30-Nov-10 20:45:59

oh totally, it's like actors staying fit or whatever. so he could have toed that line, but hasn't. he's been rather sweet imo in saying how emotionally hideous it was losing his hair.

bigbarnfarm Wed 01-Dec-10 09:34:02

So, what exactly is a hair transplant? Is it exactly as it sounds - someone else's hair transplanted into your head?

He looks good though.

bigTillyMint Wed 01-Dec-10 09:39:06

I preferred it before.

He reminds me of Terry Wogan now. though not in the trouser department wink grin

TheGrumpalo Wed 01-Dec-10 09:44:28

I like it, makes him look even better imo. If you've got the money why not?

Don't like the thought of the process though!

c0rns1lk Wed 01-Dec-10 09:45:30

It looks okay but he looked fine before I think. He reminds me of that creepy lovejoy guy a bit now.

tegan Wed 01-Dec-10 17:04:47

does no one else think he has a look of George Clooney about him with his new hair

BalloonSlayer Wed 01-Dec-10 17:08:47

It looks a bit crinkly.

Do you think they used pubes?

EldritchCleavage Thu 02-Dec-10 11:36:05

Well, the Happy Shopper George Clooney, yes.

StripeyMoon Thu 02-Dec-10 18:42:23

I'm more worried about his teeth in that bottom photo - they scare me.
