(3 Posts)We're going next week and I'm so excited. I don't like cloudy skiing so the weather forecast looks perfect as it appears to be glorious sunshine every day. However, will there be enough snow? It's not snowed for over a week now
I've not been there before so have no idea what the snow making facilities are like.
Not in Andorra right now but the snowmaking facilities are excellent. They start making ‘spare snow’ in November as soon as the temperature drops below freezing at night, and keep huge stores of it. They piste every night and are some of the best pisties I’ve ever come across. You will have snow to ski on. If it is sunny in the day it will be below freezing at night, so your biggest concern is that the snow may be a bit hard and icy in places, but the terrain in Grandvalira (the resort I am most familiar with) is big and varied so you’ll just have to hunt out the best places.
Like pp said. Snow making facilities were excellent last year at grandvalira.
