Sorry, another thread requesting ski resort and accommodation recs

We are planning to go skiing during the last week of February.
The resort we usually go to is fully-booked and we have been told it is their busiest week that week, so we are on the lookout for somewhere else.
We would like a quiet resort (no need for apres-ski), gentle slopes, self-catering with a decent supermarket close by, preferably a pool (can be a municipal one).
We'll fly rather than drive.
Don't mind booking it all ourselves as have never gone through an agent before.
And if anyone has any accommodation recs, that would be lovely too.
Any suggestions?

Thanks v much in advance !

Montgenevre would tick all those boxes. Fly to Turin ( although flights may now be ruinously expensive) coach to the resort, stay sc at mmv has heated swimming pool outside and lots of gentle blues.

However at this stage of the year you might be cheaper actually booking a package as half term flights will be very pricey and transfers can be expensive.

@rookiemere - thank you very much!
Have googled and Montgenevre sounds great!
I even looked up MMV, but they don't seem to have availability, but will phone tomorrow. Or have a look to see what other SC options there might be as Montgenevre has two supermarkets! Plus a butcher, boulageries, etc.!

Have looked at flights to Turin and doesn't seem too bad - just over £200 for the 4 of us.
But may explore the package option too.

Thanks again!
And any further tips most welcome - including ski schools.
(My children speak French, but they have heard that French ski instructors can be 'tough' so are worried about that Grin

Oh wow that's great price for the flights. Try CGH for self catering as well - not stayed with them as pricier but look lovely

There is an international branch of ESF there we used. Smaller classes and friendlier instructors.

I see what you mean looks like a popular week in France. Maybe look at unusual countries on Crystal for that week there are some reasonably priced packages for Slovenia or Norway.
