Start using Mumsnet PremiumFeb half term for snow NOT skiing?
(4 Posts)Possibly the wrong forum but I thought you guys would know: I'd love to take my 6 and 3 year olds to see some proper snow for feb half term. We aren't interested in skiing at all.
Ideally we'd like: short haul, short transfers. Nice accommodation, things to do, restaurants that don't all revolve around skiing. Any suggestions where to look?
Iceland. Lots to see and do around snow and ice, but not a ski destination.
That would be awesome!
Innsbruck. 1/2 hour on the bus from the airport. Lots to do and see including a cable car up a mountain to a snow resort with tubing etc for kids from the middle of the city and a fantastic zoo.
There isn't much snow at the moment in the city but so many places easily reachable on public transport with snow near by.
