Single Parent Ski Trip

I would very much like to take my son skiing this February half term, just him and me.
I am worried he will get bored in the evenings with just me and want his first ski experience to be brilliant as well as mine.
Has any one got any good places, or ski holiday suggestions?
He wants to learn how to snowboard so school for him and I am a well seasoned skier.
We would need to hire all our kit and I cant help but feel a bit daunted by all of it.

How old is he? Try Esprit or Mark Warner.

He will probably be tired - especially if he is in ski school in the morning and then practicing in the afternoon. In the evenings watch a film, go out for dinner or play a board game or a combination. It’s a nice holiday as by the end of the week skiing is great a family activity to do together

Book a package , esprit, crystal, mark warner. How old is he, snowboarding tends to start later and can be more frustrating.

Try igluski or inghams for a package you can book ski hire and lessons and will have arranged transfer. Some places will run things like pub quiz you can join in with in evening

I did this last year with my son, then 12. We booked a catered chalet so we had plenty of company for evening meal. Reps organised evening activities as well. Was great. Booked through a subsidiary of Inghams.

Try Single with Kids

I prefer not to be the only single parent which is my experience with Mark Warner et

I'm not a single parent but DH is not interested in skiing. I've taken DS8 on 4 ski holidays but crucially we go with a group of like minded friends.

They've children a similar age & all 14 of us rub along nicely in a massive chalet.

Do you have mates who may want to go together? If not I believe you can book in to a catered chalet (we self cater) & meet other people.
