First time family skiiers - Club Med?

My (amazingly generous, childless) sister has offered to take the dc (by then 10 & 8), DH and me skiing for February half term - she goes every year (sometimes twice), but DH and I haven't been for maybe 10 years and dc have never skiied.

Sh'es thinking Club Med for ease and all-inclusiveness but is there anywhere else she should consider? Mark Warner? My own ski experience was mostly tiny self-catered apartments and lots of drinking...

Any suggestions gratefully received

If she's happy with club med, I'd go for it! I think your kids are a bit old for MW in a ski environment (well IMO). Club Med will be excellent, they'll love it I'm sure - as will you. It totally takes all the downside (fuss and bother with kit) away.

Esprit are good.

They will take the kids to lessons, supervised lunch.

You can have them back in the afternoon or snow club or some resorts do afternoon lessons as well.

Supervised kids supper.

Cocoa club while you eat. But if you want to eat with the kids it's no good.

Done and dusted, last interconnecting rooms at Avoriaz - she doesn't hang about!
Just got to wait for Aldi skiwear week and /or hope I still fit to my pre-dc ski trous…

Wow, how lovely is your sister? You'll have a ball.. I loved Avoriaz and your kids are the perfect age for their first ski trip. Smile

Stayed at Club Med in Avoriaz in March. Had a really good time. Location was amazing and the hotel was very good. Rooms a bit small but if you've got interconnecting then you'll have more space, and you spend so little time in the rooms when away with Club Med!
