Where to buy ski clothes for teenage boy (15)?

He's 5 foot 7, so the boys clothes tend to be too short for him, and the men's salopettes in particular would be too long. Jackets I think he could get away with a size XL boys if I'm lucky...

And why is it all so expensive?!

Lidl gets my vote - you just have to get lucky with their stock.

O Neill, Animal, ebay. Decathlon do adjustable length salopettes but in the end it isn't really an issue if they are too long or even a bit short as the boots are so chunky or you buy ones with velcro closures.

Also trespass and dare2be are worth a look, either their stores, online outlet shop or tkmaxx

Aldi had the ski gear sale on the 12th so you may still find some in store, and I think there are some items still online. It is really good quality for price.

Just done a shop and our aldi had teenage and adult men ski jackets and sallopettes still in. The teenage ski jackets are only £14.99.

Decathlon. The ski trousers/salopettes have a 'pull & fit' system, consisting of a pocket on the side of the knee with an elastic cord inside; when you pull the cord it shortens the trousers. So you could probably buy the age 14 boys ones and these would be ok for him. Equally you could get the men's size small and pull the legs up to fit. I think there's only about £5 difference between the boy's and men's trousers.

Or if you have time try tkmaxx. Often takes several trips - I tried my current jacket on in tkmaxx. Hated the colour but liked the fit so bought a different colourway direct from dare2be website.

Can't you borrow? Ridiculous amounts spent by Uk families on ski gear which is used for a maximum of 10 days per season?

I bought my nearly 15 yr old some salopettes from Boden. They were in the sale so not ridiculously expensive..£29. I will probably get a few ££ from them on Ebay when outgrown.

Decathlon own brand ski wear also seems really good value. I got my daughter a £30 ski jacket and she was as happy with that as she would have been with the far more expensive Poivre Blanc one she originally had her eye on!

Surfanic also seems good quality/value if you can get it in the sale.
