(6 Posts)Where did you go ?
Honestly there were hundreds of them and yet when we got to our destination in Switzerland there were none !
Where did all you landrover types ski
We drove through France and there was more uk cars than French. Clapped out French cars, hit Germany and it was turbo all the way. We went to Austria in ours.
1500 miles and £280 in diesel.
Ah that must be it then. Statistics prove it ...
Land rovers go to Austria and Bmw drivers do Switzerland.
We were amazed that our carriage in the train was full of 4x4 range / discoveries and we were the one token Bmw.
The french motorways were a constant stream of Brits but when we arrived at our destination ( car free village ) there were none !
Also a token BMW driver on the way to Switzerland last week. Loads of 4x4-ish cars on summer tyres, so if their drive up a mountain somewhere was anywhere like ours was, they may not have made it to a resort.
Mostly local Valais plates in the car parks and a few Dutch. Heard a couple of Brits around but not many.
I think they were all in Morzine!
