just this morning it has been advertising how to get a disabled badge if you are not disabled

and

how autism can be reversed

just it was on about portable loo's but I am not so bothered about that .....

Yeah, in at least one of the "my DH has had an affair", the Google ads were providing links to places to meet married people for affairs. Whoops.

The ads are based on the page content - MN doesn't choose the ads specifically.

I have seen "Blue Badge for sale" in the ads at the top, in the SN thread about non-handicapped people getting blue badges.

oh sorry, didnt realise it had been done before i am not as addicted as i used to be. So it just searches google for the words in the title?

I think it searches through the people who want to advertise, for ones who are interested in certain key words in the thread. Much the same as adverts on the google search page itself.

It's a tricky one, i don't know how they got rid of the "go have affairs" advert on the "my DH has had an affair" threads, but I'm very glad they did ...

Thanks for the heads up. We've removed the google ads from the special needs topic and will discuss removing them completely as they've been a bit of a hassle.
