this agency are currently helping me and dd to find a safe place to live.

They have managed to help because of their approach to domestic violence which encompasses multi-agency communication including housing, childrens services, drug and alchohol support services.
They are desperately in need of support, awareness and funding.
Without them my dd and I would probably be facing a very different outcome.

Please at least read the information about them and talk to your friends about what they can do.

They were featured on radio $ womens hour today. If you listened to it you will be aware of the kind of help they can offer and what a difference that makes.

Many thanks.

Yes, I thought she came across well.

Come on ladies, after all the threads on here either supporting women or urging them to leave surely you can take a couple of minutes to read about how people like my dd and I can and are being helped.

I'm not saying it should. I think you've misunderstood.
This is an approach that is little known but is really effective.
I'm asking people to read because I want to raise awareness. The more people who are aware of this and support this the more women and children will be able to get the help that they need.

I won't need to go and then panic about housing, schools any benefits if relevent, it will all be sorted because all the relevent agencies will have been linked together.
We will have access to counselling etc tailored to our needs because someone is already advocating for us and finding the most appropriate help.

Oh I did a research project at University about healthcare prof and DV- I looked at the role of MARAC in my lit review- interesting to have someone on here speak about how beneficial it has been.
