QuintessentialShadows · 13/08/2009 23:42

I have never in my many years here EVER, I tell ya, EVER encountered ANY poster using the term baby dancing.

WHY is this yucky term included in the acronym list?

Are you preparing for the DM onslaught?
Is it a remain after the aprils fools joke about teaming up with Netmums?

eh ? eh ?

GET rid.
Now.
please.

I vote get it off. It gives a bad impression.

Replace it with the finger.

Does it mean what I think it means..[hmm..?

If so, we call it fucking in my house. Actually. Perhaps you might replace it with that

It must go - it's the most awful expression!

Report
Tidey · 14/08/2009 00:02

It's only there to remind you people that there are other kinds of activity than bumsex.

BD has been around on MN for years. Nothing wrong with it (tho it is perhaps a little twee). Just indicates carnal knowledge for the express purpose of conception, rather than for fun or other reasons.

Keep it.

Chilllllll.

Sazisi · 14/08/2009 00:07

AF...is abbreviation for Aunty Flo?? PLEASE change it to On The Blob immediately!

OTB!

Agree. Much better.

I loathe the term BD. It's so twee it makes my teeth itch!

Lol at OTB though....

BD doesn't get used on the wider MN, but I gather that it does on the Conception threads. The important thing, though, is that there isn't a "" pandemic.

COVER!

Seriously, the term baby dancing seem rather obscene when you know it is carnally related.

TTC at the moment and refuse to use BD or AF hate them both with a passion

Report
FlamingoBingo · 14/08/2009 08:37

I hate AF too, and all other euphemisms actually. Can't you just say 'period'?

Does the world come to an end when you actually use the real words for things?

Report
QuintessentialShadows · 14/08/2009 08:42

Doesn't it cover it if you say "We are ttc atm", do you really need to be so detailed to say "Right I am orf, going to do some baby dancing with my partner" Really no need to use this acronym at all!

Stop being so precious, different things for different people.

KingCanute, have you just changed your name from KingCanuteAndI, or were you always KingCanuteIam??

I have always been kingcanuteiam - well since I was something totally different anyway, why? Has someone skenked my name?

Why do people need to find daft words or phrases?

What's wrong with sex. period. penis. vagina...

They are perfectly simple, clear words.

imo, if you are embarrassed to say the word sex, you are too immature to be having it!!

KingCanuteIAm · 14/08/2009 08:53
