BigTech - there was some talk a bit ago about having some sort of private messaging system. Do you know anything about it?

I'd like to be able to, for example, private message Kbear and say "ooh look at MaureenMLove's reply to that thread, what a bitch" etc

If I knew that was happening I would no longer post on here.

MN is bitchy but at least its up front bitchiness not 'behind the back' slagging off of posters who are oblivious to it.

You might want to send someone a message without hijacking a thread, sending a CAT (whcih can take a bit to get through) or starting a MamaG!* thread, thats the useful t hing about a private messaging system

I like IM - have skype at home/work, and it's also on Facebook now.

Could be terribly addictive here, but the CAT system can be a bit slow/frustrating so IM would be good.
