Threads I'm On and For Sale

Is it just me or do the For Sale threads not show up in the Threads I'm On unless you have recently posted on them yourself?

eg. I'm selling something that I put up for sale on Sept 10th. It dropped off my Threads I'm On, yet today a MNetter posted on it as she wants to buy the item BUT it didn't come up in my Threads I'm On just now. Fortunately I remembered to check the thread otherwise I would have missed the fact that she wanted the item. Once I had replied to her on the thread, it reappeared in my Threads list??

It works that way with all the topics, doesn't it? Threads I'm On only shows threads which you've posted on within the last five days - if they drop off your Threads I'm On list, they don't come back again, even if someone else posts and makes the thread active again.

I think that happens with all your "Threads I'm On" Whizzz.

I had that with something I had for sale as well and I missed the poster and subsequently lost the sale . It didn't show up in Threads I Started either......which is another odd one; mine currently shows four threads, but one is from back in March and I know I've started more than four threads since March.

Is there anyway you can alert a poster to the fact that someone has posted on their For Sale thread?

This has just happened gain - by chance I went to check on the item I'm selling which isn't showing on the 'threads I'm on' & someone wants it - they posted earlier today. I know I could use 'watching' but its a bit of a pain

Whizzz, we can see that this would be annoying - and in fact there is another thread in Site Stuff on this very subject.

I'll flag it up to the Tech team as something that would be good to fix. But I should warn you they're very busy at the mo, so it may take a while
