This is bound to have been explained before, but what do the threads always at the top of the list with a little square 'M' next to them mean?

I'm guessing they're ones that need or want to be bumped to the top all the time? Who puts them there? <thick emoticon blush>

they're called "stickies" and MNHQ put them there so they are always at the top.

I think it kind of defeats the point of them as I tend to tune them out.

You can have "don't allow stickies" in your preferences I think.

Mumsnet. Hence the M wink

They're stickies - stuck to the top of the board always

Yes, I sort of mentally don't seem to notice them now either because they stay the same for a while I guess.

How does MN towers decide which threads it puts a sticky on?

pass.

things that they want us all to see, obviously, but how exactly they decide what should be sticky and what's not, I dunno

Lolgrin I don't think I am seeing them cos I'm tuning them out subconciously like you Squonk.

Must pay more attention in class wink.
