my local threads stay at the top of active convos for about 30 minutes.

Ooooooooooh that could explain it

I can't get rid of mine.

Its driving me nuts, also as its a private convo between 2 mums meeting up.

I can't see Mumsnet Local on hide and show threads either.

Make it stop!!

Hi there.

HumphreyCushion is right: threads from your local area stay at the top of your active convos for a short while, then disappear.

Unless someone else posts on them.

Which is why maidamess was seeing hers for so much longer.

HTH smile

But why can't we hide them???

maidamess Mon 01-Sep-08 07:54:42

Yes, why can't we hide them.

Are you trying to force friendships with local people?

I just sign in and out of mumsnet local when I ook at the board. that way if I don't want to know, I don't have to smile

Flamesparrow Mon 01-Sep-08 08:28:09

maidamess Mon 01-Sep-08 15:10:18

click on the local tab at the top of the screen
There is then a log out tab on the local page, it only logs you out of the local sites not mumsnet
